As we recently celebrated Time to Give’s Birthday this April, we wanted to take a moment to share some updates on what we have accomplished this spring.
In early January, Executive Director Chris Simpson welcomed two new interns from Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. Laila Hensley, a senior from Cleveland, Ohio, served as the Spring Fundraising and Development Officer. Madeline Loveless, a sophomore from Versailles, Kentucky, served as Paid Parental Leave Project Manager.
As the spring season comes to a close, we’re excited to highlight several key accomplishments from the past few months. Ayush Ghimire, Software and Data Intern has made many updates to our website. It has been redesigned to reflect our new branding and direction. Additionally, we have launched a LinkedIn page where you can find weekly updates and organizational news. On the project side, Time to Give has partnered with EC LEARN to develop a three-phase volunteer process: Preliminary Training, Shadowing, and Leave Coverage. EC LEARN is a nonprofit that supports early childhood education by connecting families to quality childcare and helping educators and providers grow through training and resources. Their contributions have allowed us to deepen our understanding of our first pillar, childcare.
We have attended multiple career fairs throughout the Northern Kentucky region, expanding our reach and visibility. In addition, networking and coalition events have strengthened our connections, and we are grateful to the resources these spaces have provided.
Finally, Time to Give is launching an individual giving campaign that highlights real childcare workers and small business owners to build an emotional connection and inspire giving. “Faces of T2G” shares personal stories of struggle and impact, while “Give Her 6 Weeks” focuses on funding paid leave for caregivers and mothers. More information can be found on the Campaign page in our website menu.
